Muzmali Conquers Back Pain: Returning to Life Through OLIF Technology.

Muzmli’s Journey
Our dear patient, Muzmli , a 44-year-old from India, had been suffering from chronic lower back pain for over 15 years. This condition later developed into sciatica, making walking extremely difficult for him.
After a thorough evaluation of his case, Dr. Firas Al-Husban performed a precise surgery using the Oblique Lumbar Interbody Fusion (OLIF) technique. Following the procedure, Muzmli experienced significant improvement and a remarkable ability to walk within just two hours of the operation.
Dr. Firas Al-Husban was the first surgeon to perform the OLIF procedure in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
The X-ray images of our patient, Muzmli (44 years old, from India), illustrate the transformation following an OLIF (Oblique Lumbar Interbody Fusion) procedure at the L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels, alongside neural decompression.
The images clearly demonstrate the restoration of spinal alignment and robust fixation achieved with interbody cages and screws. This has effectively eliminated the compression that was causing his chronic back pain and sciatica.
These outcomes confirm the high efficacy of Minimally Invasive Surgery and the vital role of modern techniques in achieving rapid recovery.
Oblique Lumbar Interbody Fusion (OLIF) Dr. Firas Al-Husban was the first to perform this advanced procedure in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
