Njoud’s Recovery After Scoliosis Caused by Disc Herniation

Njoud’s Journey

We were pleased to welcome our dear patient Njoud, a 20-year-old from Jordan, who had been suffering from spinal curvature and lower back pain.

Dr. Firas Husban performed a successful minimally invasive endoscopic spine surgery for a rare case of scoliosis caused by a herniated disc — an uncommon underlying condition.
Thanks to the advanced surgical approach, Njoud was able to walk just 4 hours after the operation.

X-ray image of our dear patient Njoud showed a spinal curvature and significant lower back pain caused by a herniated disc between the fourth and fifth lumbar vertebrae (L4–L5).

This rare condition — scoliosis secondary to disc herniation — was successfully treated by Dr. Firas Husban using minimally invasive endoscopic spine surgery.
