Francis 14YO: Advanced Scoliosis Correction with Dual Technique for Motion Preservation

Francis's Journey
Our dear patient, Francis, a 14-year-old from the Philippines, was suffering from progressive scoliosis. This condition caused her family great concern regarding her future mobility and natural growth.
She underwent surgery performed by Dr. Firas Al-Hasban, using modern surgical techniques designed to preserve spinal flexibility and correct the curvature without hindering her growth.
Before and after X-rays of our dear patient, Francis, a 14-year-old from the Philippines, who was suffering from progressive spinal curvature (scoliosis).
Dr. Firas Al-Hasban performed a corrective procedure involving Anterior Vertebral Body Tethering (VBT) using a flexible medical cord from T12 to L4, combined with posterior spinal fusion from T4 to T12.
The images demonstrate a significant improvement in spinal alignment post-surgery, achieving the desired balance while preserving flexibility in the lower spine.
